Are you doing Google Ads right?

Are you doing Google Ads right? When I complete a Google Audit for a business using Google Ads, I look for these four things that lead to success.

1. You are using multiple ad campaigns to diversify your ads. You can use five different kinds of ads: text search ads, click-to-call ads, local Google Business ads, display image ads, and discovery smart ads. If you are only using a “Performance Max” campaign, this is a big red flag.

2. your keywords are “phrase match” or [exact match]. If you have all your keywords in the broad match, I will assume you are getting a lot of low-quality traffic and little to no leads.

3. You have more than one ad created in your account. The more ad options you have, the more expansive your campaign can be. Most accounts I look at have very minimally optimized ads.

4. You have conversions set up in Google Analytics and imported them to Google Ads. Tracking the results from the ads to your website will connect the dots of your success rate with ad clicks. Tracking conversions will tell you when someone contacted you from what ad, keyword, or landing page. Using that information to improve your campaign.
